Any time, bud.
what a sap, right? haha
because HE DID and he said himself that it was one of the most important decisions he made in his life.
Sorry you're prude, it's a personal choice. If it bothers you that much, don't use computers...
You can prevent this in the first place by making sure you keep at least 15% of total drive space free at all times on either partition.
might want to add an "Aspiring" to the front of techie, but yea, it's pretty cool. :)
kids spill something? and yes, there is a space... copy paste it!
sounds like a plan!
now that would have been nice to know. does the drive mount? open a new finder window and check along the sidebar to see if the drive shows there. If it does, well, you know what to do.
She did not run out of room... time machine will make room. Also, unless she deleted the original backup, it should still have had all of those songs...
or an old imac with a 10mbps ethernet port?
It's probably slow because you don't have enough space left to be used for caching OS files and such, but if you just want to move it, go to home/music/itunes and move the whole folder to your...

You, sir, need to get yourself an SSD. That will certainly improve your score.
If you're using the line in and a microphone directly into your computer, then you need a preamp. Also, you can adjust the input volume level in the sounds preference pane.
I agree with you, chscag. I also did not do a clean install, upgraded my machine. Overall, I also agree that Lion is much faster, though have also noticed one of the problems CmdAltEgo is reporting...
No excuse to not back up your data, this has been around for a good 4 years now.
You've tried booting from the install DVD... you do know...
Get a SSD. That will speed up Lion. Turn off unnecessary start up items. Maybe replace your HDD since it seems to be damaged, and damaged drives perform much slower than undamaged drives.
Yea man. How the heck is that femur doing? Totally made me cringe to see it!
It's a sick little machine. 11 inch is stupid fast, and can drive some pretty intense screen savers on dual monitors even with the intel GPU. spanks my 9400m and core 2 duo, and is super thing. I'm a...
Girl's new MacBook Air (11 inch, i5, 4gb ram)
Not on this end. Lion super fast with 64 bit kernel. Cut boot time in half from 10.6 on my SSD. The only problem I have is that Finder does not load by default all the time, which is a little bit...
I'm pretty sure there is a replace all option. Don't Add might be the best choice, though, since it's only prompting you since it's the exact same loop that you're trying to overwrite.
Thank you for that! That was one thing I could live with enough that I didn't seek out how to turn it off, but I really do prefer to have a clean set of stuff when I open a program.
Mine hung when I tried to run xbench under lion a couple weeks ago, also on the thread test. I'm leaving it out and giving it a go later, along with the new 1.6GHz i5 MBA that my fiancee just got.
Spotlight was possibly indexing it. Shouldn't take that long to recognize the second time around. Try again now that it's been recognized once?
