Has anyone read this book? If not you should. It will make you think again about using any Google or Facebook app. Even Siri comes in for criticism.

Hi Alwyn - I've read a number of books related to cyber tracking, ID theft, password protection/security, etc. The Goodman book interests me, but I noticed on Amazon that the publication date was 2015, so the information is likely 5-6+ years old, an eternity in this area where things may change quickly - was the book updated? If not, I'd probably be more interested in a 2020 version, just saying. Dave

The technology may have moved on but the basic premise hasn't changed. To Google and Facebook we're not customers but product with a value that can be sold. Although Ive never completed my timeline on Facebook it probably knows more about me than I would like. As for cybercrime, again the basic premise won't have changed, only the exponential growth of the internet has moved on in the last 5 years as has the number of criminals mining our info. I haven't finished the book yet.
