I agree (as a member of a committee for another organization that is proposing multiple changes to how we do things). It's just plain annoying that OMT has taken over the Lounge and made it difficult to find threads started by members and guests. It seriously needs to be toned down. I guess having a OMT Forum would not serve its purpose. Is it possible to have an Auto Delete function for any OMT post not receiving replies after a set time? If no one is posting and starting a "conversation" with other people, the posts are not very useful. If one reads it and likes the info presented, but does not want to post a reply, one should click the "like" button. Oh wait, we'd have to add that button...

I agree with most thoughts here. Maybe OneMoreThing, should be a forum onto itself? Or a link like “New Posts”?

yeahhhh...might need to look at my signature
    Here's my input on this.

I don't believe the forum needs a bot to create new posts, regardless of what it relates to.

Any bot that creates automatic posts should have a dedicated area to post them, and not have them mixed with user posts.
These posts that are put up by OMT are also low quality posts most of the time. Waste of space if you ask me. Creating new threads and posts that have NOTHING in them except for a link is just stupid in my opinion. Unless OMT is linking to outside posts as a way of generating revenue, there should be no reason for an article to need to link away from the forum as a way to get to that information. In my opinion, quoting the article within the post is the best way to creating these new posts.

In the end, I believe all this automated posting really does is dilute the content that forum members truly care about. I believe the forum members should be the ones who judge what news, rumor, or other related content deserves to posted. There should be zero reason for OMT to post a new thread on a 10,000mAH battery in the Apple Rumors and Reports section.

More focus should be placed on growing and enhancing the forum to allow greater cohesion and communication between members.
