    Yes, I am spot on there. When the followng word starts with a vowel sound, the appropriate quantifier would be "an"... not "a".
    Therefore, it is correct to type "an 'R' (ahr)" and not "a 'R'".

    Don't you only use 'an' when the word starts with a vowel, not a sound. I don't know how it applies to letters though... I assumed it still applies.
