But do you still get the Walgreen member card discounts too? If so, plus add the 3% on top - might be nice.

I have not jumped on the Apple card bandwagon. I really can't decide why I should. I have one main credit card for internet purchases. I have a second card I put in a drawer because I keep being told not to cancel it and it cost me nothing to keep. I don't see the need for a third credit "card" even with the cash back - which I get with my current card plus it donates to my favorite charity.

I too have not applied for the Apple credit card. I have enough plastic as it is without adding another. I do keep a favorite Visa card along with a MasterCard and American Express.

Purchases with Amex can extend the warranty of a large item such as a new Mac or TV. Also it adds collision damage waver insurance when you rent an auto and use your Amex card. Other cards offer various perks such as airline mileage, etc.
