Internal M.2 SSD in MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014) w/Adapter
I have a Crucial MX300 SSD that I want to install inside my MacBook Air. When I installed it, and booted in Recovery Mode, the Mac doesn't even see it in Disk Utility. Im using this adapter: https://image.ibb.co/eyG2QH/IMG_4376.jpg

I can't remember the forum, but somebody said I had to install the ssd into an external enclosure, load the OS, and then install the SSD internally. I did this, and although it boots from the external fine, it doesn't see the SSD when its installed internally.

Is there any way to force the Mac to see the SSD? What am I missing?

    Your Mac's Specs
    iMac, i7 4GHz, 32GB memory, 1TB Blade, OS X.14.6 Mojave,
    Rep Power
    31
The Apple Blade Drive has its own connections and alas the Crucial, the last time I checked, is not compatible.

Have a read of this from ifixit.

Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!
