Thanks Nick et al admins and mods for all the work you guys do for the forums. Greatly appreciated.
Thanks very much Patrick...really appreciate it! Was up until 2am working on this...and had to get up at 5am to take care of an obligation. 3 hours sleep makes for a long day! lol

In case it wasn't mentioned anywhere...in addition to getting https working on the site...the forum software also recieved a small upgrade and the latest security updates. All of this took longer than expected...thus the midnight oil was burning freely!

    Thanks again,

    - Nick

FYI. Looks like the displaying of multiple "Mac Spec's" issue has been resolved. Was a relatively easy fix.

YES!!!! It's fixed. I spent hours trying and figured some file was missing. The update fixed a lot of things! Great going.

Just a note that my avatar changed. I don't mind the new one, as it was one I had uploaded when my account got mucked up and Charlie restored it, but it had never displayed. When I did the upload, the original avatar came back, so I stopped thinking about it. It's all good, but thought you ought to know. Must have been something in the restart of the system that fixed the avatar.

I sure hope so Jake, but I can be quite stubborn and set in my ways.

BTW: is your avatar of the aircraft carrier you possibly served on?

Patrick, that is, in fact, the USS America, circa 1969, taken by me in an A-6 overhead the ship. I was in VA-165 at the time.

Thanks Jake, but I admit I had to do a bit of googling:
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VA-165_(U.S._Navy)

    Neat.

Brings back memories for me Jake. I was stationed at Langley AFB in Virginia at the time the USS America was being built at the Newport News shipyards. My next door neighbor (we lived in Hampton, Virginia) was a Petty Officer third class who accompanied me on several occasions to the NCO club. Enough said about that. LOL

When I was in bootcamp...and had to pull guard-duty on some silly building. Sometime around midnight-1am...some intoxicated NCO exited the NCO club. Came near the building I was guarding...I told him not to trespass...he didn't listen...and I had to wack him on the head with my club.

Sergeant of the guard came by & patted me on the back...MP's hauled him off. Lol

Apologies if anyone noticed (or was not able to access) the site earlier today. Site was having some maintenance done on it. Sometimes the maintenance can be done on the live site & sometimes not. In the future we will do our best to post upcoming maintenance windows...so everyone knows what's up in case the site goes off-line.

    Thanks
