Transfereing video from android phone to 10.13.6 ?I have tried a search on this with no results, so here is my question.
I have a Moto G phone and I am trying to transfer video from it to my iMac on 10.13.6. I have thhe Android Transfer programme on the Mac but when I plug the phone in I cant see any video on the listing?
Can anyone let me know how I can do this please?John.

My first reaction when I read your post was use Android File Transfer. Then I realized you were already doing that. I should have known things couldn't be that easy.
When you look at the phone's content in Android File Transfer are you able to se a folder called DCIM? Inside there are a series of subfolders which include Camera and Movies. The directions I saw said look in the Camera folder but I think they will be in Movies.“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

Isn't there a way to send it to Dropbox/iCloud/google, etc?

Good idea Bob. I hadn't thought of that. If the video file shows in Android File Transfer that may be faster bit this is a good last resort. Once the file is on the Mac I'm pretty sure there will be something that can read the files.

There's no DCIM folder on there SD and I have opened every folder to see if it's hiding in something else. Nowt there either.
I have never used either cloud of any type or dropbox Ferrarr. I wouldn't know where to start? My own cloud is my Synology NAS box and that doesn't get as much use as it should and at the moment I feel as if there's no time to turn around what with builders trying to fill the house with dust and a plumber in our loft ripping everything out.Last edited by Jonzjob; 07-30-2019 at 02:10 PM. Is there anything inside the Movies folder that you can see?
Which Synology gizmo do you have? I think most of their models have a way to pass files/folders to the NAS from most phones.“Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

SD,, the Movies folder is totally empty, much to my disappointment when I saw it.
The NAA box is a Synology DS 212j and is a fairly old box by todaze standards, about 8 years old or more? So I am not sure if it would know what a mobile phone is? A bit like me reallyI am about dead on my feet at the mo and I will see if I can chase that in the morning?
I'm not too sure if it's my glasses or my eye balls that need new batteries at the moment?John.
