    More dvd encoding problems

I recently used the mac the ripper program to rip a dvd to my hard drive. Then I used xray to convert that to avi. The problem I have is that the video looks great but the sound it not synced with the video. Any recommendations?

thats a problem with avi as a format, you need to convert it to something else, iee; a .mov using divx doctor 2. or after ripping the dvd, why did you wannna convert to avi? theres an app called forty two dvd vx plus that will do it well. but your above problem is with the crap format that avi is.

Well, I found a good encoder, but a new problem has arisen. I cant figure out how to join .vob files in order to use them with ffmpegx. Id rather join them first then later. What part of SA are you in macman? Im in Northside off Blanco rd. & 1604 Todd

I'm currently living on the south side of san antonio, I was living off of 410 and babcock before where I live now.
as far as joining the .vob files, I think discreet cleaner will do it. why do you need to join them? there are usually several anyway, chapters, titles, etc.
