    Using a picture as a background?
    When I'm viewing a picture in preview how can I put the picture as my background?

    The easiest way to do this is to save the picture at a place you will remember--like the desktop. I have a whole folder of wallpapers.

    Then, go to System preferences, click on Desktop & Screensavers, and on the left it says "choose folder". From there, choose whatever folder you made (or the desktop), and the picture will show up on the preference window. select it, and you're done.

    it's a lot easier than i make it sound, don't worry.

    also if the image is in iphoto just click on desktop and it will be applied as your wallpaper.

    Yeah I know how to do it that way, but it's such a hassel to start up iphoto :s

    Thanks for the replies! I wish there was an easier way to do it, like on a PC.
    Honestly, after having my Macbook for 4 months, I'm still wishing I got a PC notebook instead
    (...I think, lol.) There are pros and cons for both machines, but with all the hype about Macs I was expecting a lot more.

    You can always just right click on the desktop and "change desktop background" just like Windows.
