So i replaced the SSD and hard drive cable (the cable didn't fit perfectly but i think good enough) and re installed High Sierra. It's working great, much faster and have one question.

When it's sleeping (like its been shut overnight) and i go to wake the computer up, i hear this audible, almost clicking like sound coming from the right side of the computer. It kinda clicks twice and then stops and I don't hear it anymore. Any idea what this could be?

The clicking sound is most likely your Optical Drive resetting itself when you wake the computer. Might do the same thing on a reboot.

    2. Could this actually help fix the slowness of the computer?
    Have a look at:

    Macintosh Slowdown Solutions
    Macintosh OS X Slowdown Solutions

I should note that reinstalling the entire operating system is rarely necessary with a Macintosh. (Unless someone who didn't know what they were doing decided to muck about moving or deleting system files.) Reinstalling the entire operating system is a valid troubleshooting procedure for Windows users, but just about never is for Mac users.
