Getting an error on Mac OSx Reinstall (I know I'm close, check my pic pls)
    arsW51A2PNSicoNZ-pic-jpg.jpg

I have reformatted and restarted into recovery mode. I have tried many attempts to fix this error as its my first time refreshing a Mac OS I could use a little help from an expert.

This is a MacBook Pro 2016 later model if thats important.

I have done windows countless times but could use some help

Not sure if terminal is next step to fix this so I can re-sell.

    Thanks so much

I don't see an error. Maybe you can just tell us what the error is? The drive you have highlighted in the image is an external drive, according to the screen.

Here is Apple's article on reinstalling the OS: How to reinstall macOS from macOS Recovery - Apple Support

EDIT: And this is the article on preparing your Mac for sale: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

I've just come upon this post.

    Firstly, a warm welcome to Mac-Forums, Mac1009.

I'm slightly surprised that you chose to reinstall your Mac's OS to an External Hard Drive (EHD) given that your penultimate sentence indicated that your intention was to "re-sell" your Mac.

May I suggest that a better way of doing this is to follow Apple's steps as outlined in this article: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

You will see that you need to sign out of a number of things otherwise, the new owner may have difficulty establishing their identity & ownership of your current Mac.

If you follow this guide, you will end up with a fresh install of your current Operating System (OS) upon the Mac's Internal Hard Drive which has been deauthorised and wiped clean.

The new owner will, upon starting the Mac, be met with a Welcome window as if they had got it brand new.

Any problems, please post back. Or, if I've misunderstood your intentions, please don't be shy about telling me so.

That’s a great article. I have it saved in my advice files. Particularly re deauthorising your device and closing iTunes access iMessage removing the device from your Apple ID.
