A very warm welcome to our Forums.

I'm not a Windows user either on the Mac or independently; but I found this article which may answer your question:

Tips: How to make Windows 10 install media on macOS High Sierra

Other, more knowledgeable members may chime in with their ideas.

You can try these steps also, Create a Windows 10 Bootable USB Flash Drive on a Mac | Twocanoes Software, but I have a feeling, these installers will only work on Macs. You would need an older OS X version, like El Capitan, to make a compatible win 10 installer. However, if you make a Virtual Machine (VM) on your current Mac, you can then make a compatible win 10 installer from the VM.

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

It does work on a Mac,it is better download the latest Windows 10 as that's what i did on my Mac. make a compatible win 10 installer from the VM.For older operating systems version, I don't know if user needs to use a Windows 10 installer to be compatible.
