App store indicates updates but no updates showing on page
This issue started sometime during 10.13.3. When I updated to 10.13.4 I had to download the combo update as nothing showed up on the update page in the app store. Now I have an icon showing I have seven apps needing updating but when I open the app store all the other tabs show content but the updates page is blank.

I have discovered I can update apps using the Purchased tab but that seems counterintuitive.

Any idea how to fix this or what is broken?

    Hi Lisa

It will be a rare day when I can help you given your enormous experience.

The only thought that occurred to me was that maybe your due Updates were somehow hidden.

If you open App Store, then head to the Top Menu Bar and Click on "Store"; from the drop down menu, the last on the list is "Show all Software Updates". This "unhides", i.e., reveals, all due updates.

Might be worth a try. Doesn't take long even if I'm wrong

My experience is more Windows than OS X but thanks for the compliment. When I look under Store I don't have Show All Software as an option. I have Check for unfinished downloads. I did try the one above it which was View My Account and it had a place to manage Hidden Items. I check and everything was set to be shown and not hidden. Then I went to my purchases and updated one of my apps and it did change the number to show one less update needed. Then presto all the other updates appeared. Very weird.

Thanks for the input. I am not sure what fixed it but they are showing up now.

    That's wonderful.

I'm jolly sure it had nothing to do with me!! But maybe mucking about with those settings "jolted" it into getting things sorted.
