    "Insecure update error!"
Why do I keep getting a "Insecure update error!" message?
It seems to have started happening after I deleted 'Zoom Diagnostics" , a program which came with MacKeeper, which I have deleted.
    Any help welcome

G'day and welcome to the forums.

Ohh the dreaded Mackeeper. No wonder you are having big problems as it is malware.

Have you deleted Mackeeper fully, and not simply dragged to the Trash which leaves half of it behind to do these nasty little tricks? Have a read of this link and follow the instructions:-

I trust you do not have any more 'cleaning utilities' other than Onyx installed on your Mac, or any antivirus software. All these things are resource hogs and slow your Mac.
Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

    Thank you harryb
I had used a manual process that I found on an Apple site to remove o the awful Mackeeper but your DetectX found more. Also the Zoom Diagnostics that appeared with MacKeeper seemed easy to delete. I hope that your program has fixed that too. What a lesson for me!

    Thanks again
