Odd Keyboard Issue: Shift Key doesn't like to make capital W
So you're probably wondering how I made one for the title? Haha.

Anyway, my LEFT hand side shift key isn't working in conjunction with the letter w. The RIGHT hand shift key does.
The LEFT shift key WILL capitalize QERTYUIOPASDFGHJKLZXCVBNM... see?

I tried resetting the PRAM and SMC.
It doesn't appear to be hardware related.

Oh ya... 2010? iMac 3.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB ram.

Someone else last week had a similar issue. We suggested running Onyx (free maintenance app)…and afterwards the issue was fixed. Hopefully the same outcome awaits you.

Perhaps the more pertinent info is what kind of keyboard.

I tried the maintenance app, but so far no dice. Any idea what functions? All?

It could be a keyboard problem. Do ypu know anyone with a Mac keyboard you could try? You could also try plugging in a USB keyboard to see if it works. If it did, that would rule put any computer issue I think.
