    Can't partition
I'm trying to partition part of my HD so I can install the beta preview of Yosemite. I keep getting this error (pic attached). I've done this 3 times and also did the reboot holding CMD+R like the Mac instructed at one point and nothing. Everytime it says everything is ok.

    Ideas?

How big is the hard drive and how much is available free space? This could be your problem:-

Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

From the Disk Utility it says 16MB is free. That is not large enough to run anything. Requires at least 25% free for the drive to work anywhere near its capacity.
