I've upgraded to Lion... silly me doing so early, but I am an early adopter. This is not a complaint thread, but I'd be interested if others are seeing the same quirks as me, or not.

    I'm using a 15" 2010 MBP, GT330m, i7 2.66ghz, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD... so reasonably recent and top end. Some things I've noticed:

    - Steam: Portal is extremely slow, and hangs if a game is updating. CPU use is low though

    - Safari: Massive memory usage. 450MB for Safari, but up 2GBs for 'WebProcess' which is new. This might be a good thing given I have 8GBs to spare, but was a surprise

    - Slow response on wake. In Snow Leopard, after going to sleep I got 'instant on' pretty much. With Lion, it's 3 - 4 seconds

    - Mail crashes when deleting IMAP mails. Happened twice so far, but seems to have stopped

    - iTunes 10.3 is buggy on Lion, but 10.4 is fixed

    Unexpected benefits

    - Safari is much faster on the integrated GPU than previously

    - iBank is actually quicker and more stable

    Anyone else?

Yes - Safari is gobbling up memory - and that's not just on Lion - also on SL. It's using 2.4GB in total right now - not including flash.

I moved a couple widgets to the Trash. I had to authorize the action as expected, but when I tried to empty the Trash, it said I didn't have adequate access to do so for those same items and requested I check and modify the access privileges for those files. While they are in the Trash. That's crazy! I wound up force-emptying it.

Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).

My Safari is running OK, less than 500mb using on my mid 2010 mbp. I found a bug I guess, when I go to Dashborad, it open a webpage on safari with a storage address and nothing on the page! is just me?

    Actually - I'm up to 2.8GB - and that's 3 Safari windows - and a total of 15 tabs.

Safari Crashes when it is the foremost app and I try to open system preferences. (I found a few other threads on other forums where others are experiencing it) Just bring another application to the front and then open System Preferences and Safari tends not to crash. Conversely System Preferences seem to disappear when switching back to Safari, but I haven't figured out what that failure mechanism is yet. I did an upgrade to SL so it may be something left over.

Mission Control does not show minimized windows like Expose used to. Application Expose will still show minimized windows. The grouping is nice - so maybe I change the workflow to not minimize for now. (Grouping hints - spacebar zooms the highlighted window. Two Finger swipe up spreads out the windows - only 3 windows show without the spread) To add more desktops hit the shaded + button on the top right.

Mission Control settings -> Automatically Rearrange spaces based on most recent used really messed me up. I mainly use spaces to hold my fullscreen Virtual Machines and the shuffling seemed to be a little random. (For some reason MC moved a blank space 3 in between space 1 and my space 2 with my Windows VM)

Natural scrolling -> not for everyone but I've been using it so I am consistent with iOS. Flipped my page up/page down gestures to conform. The only thing that really gets me is the side to side scroll being opposite since I don't do it as often.

3 finger swipe -> was changed to 2 finger swipe by default. Changed it to 2 or 3 finger swipe. Back/Forward gestures now seem to work like they used to in Safari and Finder.

Lack of ability to assign applications to spaces. Not sure why they'd remove such a useful feature.

My biggest gripe so far is with the way full screen apps work with dual screen environments. I would expect that I could make an app full screen on one monitor and still use the other, but that's not how it works.

About 300MB with a few tabs open never seen 2.8GB must be some weird memory leak.

The leak could be caused by an extension or plugin in Safari rather than in Safari itself also. Brian, what plugins/extensions do you have?

    I have click-to-flash and 1P - and that's all.
