Thread: firewall log
02-04-2009, 11:07 PM #1firewall log
I've been reviewing my firewall log for a short while, and am curious about some of the items I'm seeing there.
In my current logs, there are a bazillion pings from 18.104.22.168 (Server Central Network).
There are also a lot of pings from 22.214.171.124 (PantherExpress.net), from 126.96.36.199 (TWTelecom.net), and from 188.8.131.52 (Dreamhost.net).
I'm sure there are other connection attempts, but I didn't scrutinize the log too closely. I just noted the ones that pinged again and again and again and again.
Why would these sites be pinging me to death for days on end? I have no connection that I know of to any of them...
Thanks for any insight.
