    Question Software Update.....
Whenever I run Software Update it finds updates for software that I no longer have on my computer. How can I stop it from doing this? Is there a list of installed apps somewhere that it references?

Did you uninstall using the uninstaller or just drag to trash, which leaves some preference/files behind?

Do a spotlight and see what comes up with these applications or Google for a utility called AppDelete or another called AppZapper.

The app that I deleted was Final Cut Studio. I simply dragged it to the trash. I later tried to use AppZapper to no avail. The problem is that it is a suite of programs and as such is installed in different folders for each app. I thought I deleted all of the programs in the suite.

Have a look at the original installer CD and see if there is an uninstaller built in. If so run it.
