    the brilliant people will be along later, for now though I'll chirp in with my thoughts

    there is no need to run AV software on a mac (unless it's running windows I believe), and there are free malware detection and removal tools readily available on the internet for the sort of stuff that actually can affect a mac.

    i would not pay that much in 2020 for protection.
    Even windows 10 is doing a great job detecting malware and viruses, actually my Dell XSP detects more fraud than the MacBook running high sierra.
    MacBook Air 2010 4gb Mountain Lion 10.8.5 and Snow Leopard 10.6.8
    i fixed everything on the macbook my self and repaired many in the past.

    It seems QVC has gone from peddling trashy jewelry to useless software, huh? Either way, don't bother wasting your money on either stuff.

    There was a news blurb in the states warning windows users that there are phone calls of fake Microsoft employees telling people that their computer is infected, and they must download free software.
    I wonder if the news corp CBS and QVC are behind this anti-virus scam?
