Mac Mail Problem With One G Mail Account
    Hello!
Today the outgoing server list for all of my e-mail accounts' disappeared. (OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan Using Apple's mail program)
I re-entered all of the information for each of them.
Only one is giving me problems. It's a g-mail account.

    The Problem:
The server list shows the outgoing server as Offline. When sending a message, a pop-up says there was a problem verifying the account or password.

    Trouble Shooting:
I verified the settings exactly match my other g-mail accounts. (All are IMAP & working)
I deleted the outgoing server from the list & started over a few times.
I signed in at Google from Safari to be absolutely certain that my password was correct.
I added this account to my Android phone, using the same settings as the Mac for the server & security. It worked.
I looked in Keychain Access application to see if I could delete the entry for this account. It is not to be found.

    Status:
Only Mac Mail and only this one account are a problem.
The outgoing server list says Offline next to the account

Do you all know what I can try next?
Thank You Very Much for helping. I sure appreciate it!

There is no reason I can think of as to why this often works but it does. Try deleting the offending gMail account then re enter it as you would have done the first time and allow auto setup to do the work.
I used to be conceited but now I'm perfect.

Thank You Rod for your excellent suggestion and for taking time to reply.
Your plan worked perfectly and, thanks to how Apple set things up, was amazingly easy to remove & add the account to Mail. (The scary setting stuff was pre-populated.)

One thing I can't figure out is why this account does not appear in the User - Library - Mail - V3 list of IMAP accounts (or anywhere else in the Mail folder).
All of my other IMAP and POP accounts are there. Do you have any idea why it's not there? (Time Machine's backups can't find it either.)
