Can the Safari favorites window be resized?
On my iMac and MacBook Air, Safari favorites view appears by moving the pointer over the smart search field. The size of the window with favorites is just right on my iMac, but on my MacBook Air, it's too large. Is there a way to resize the favorites view window and make its favorites icons proportionally smaller?

You should be able to place your cursor on the right most edge of the favorites box and grab the side to resize it. Or better yet on the MacBook Air just turn off the favorites box and use the top menu for your favorites. That will give you maximum room on the air.

The only time I use the favorites box on my iMac is when I'm moving the icons or doing some other maintence on them. Otherwise I don't find that box useful at all as it takes up space that I would rather have for Safari.

Thanks, chscag. I would have replied sooner, but I was indisposed out of town.

The cursor does not change when I place it on the right-most edge of the favorites box (or any other edge of it), so I can't resize it.

It is meant to take up the same amount of "width space" as the smart search box uses, the "height space" only uses the space needed to fit your "Favorites". You can change what is displayed in Safari > Preferences > General, then in "Favorite shows:", you can have other options, ie; I have a folder selected.

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.
