    Hi Rod

    I'm staggered by the cost.

    I checked my records just now and purchased AdGuard late 2018. It cost me 59-76 (after conversion from Euros) and, as you will see from the screenshot below, this is for a lifetime license.

    Presumably a special offer??? I'm almost certain that one of our members (ferrarr aka Bob) was the person who recommended this standalone app.

    Okay, I might have to eat humble pie here. This is what I got when I clicked the link in app to register my product;
    Screen Shot 2019-04-28 at 18.27.37.jpg

    As you can see circled down the bottom $24.95 I assumed that's per month because 23950.00 Rp (IDR) is near enough to AU $24.00

    But when I checked at the website with my VPN on (set to Australia) I see a completely different price.
    Screen Shot 2019-04-28 at 18.40.29.jpg

    So in fact it was merely an error on my part and what I read as 23950 is really 2395.00 which roughly translates as AU$2.39 which they corrected to AU24.95/year (not per month)

    So my bad, good product at a reasonable cost if that's what you need. I can say it does what it claims to do.
    I used to be conceited but now I'm perfect.

    I do not use any adblocker. I've tried a couple but found them more of a nuisance than a benefit as far too many sites I visit restrict access or simply do not work if they detect an adblocker. I now have a fibre broadband connection so the time taken for ads to load is not an issue and I find I can ignore ads far easier than the adblocker pop-up messages.
    Experience teaches you to recognise a mistake when you make it again.

    Thank you for your courage & honesty, Rod.

    I obviously got a one-off offer; but the cost at, say, 25 Australian Dollars per year is not OTT for what it does. As I said earlier, it is the only product I use. No Safari extensions and so on, as I used to have.

    Kind of you to respond.

    Ian I have to say I reconsidered my decision after discovering my mistake but iII think I will give the free Safari extension a fair trial and see how it matches up.
    As far as the iOS app goes I'm very taken with that. I can see no reason at this time to update it to the Pro version in fact it may cause problems with my existing VPN as it mimics some of the features of a VPN and according to AdGuard is not advised to be used in conjunction with Express VPN.
