    iPod Headphones
Looking to buy a new pair of headphones...I only have the stock ones that came with the iPod, sound is terrible. I was looking at either the in-ear headphones or the white sony ones. Who owns what and what do you guys like? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Sony EX71SLs. Wonderful sound quality, just a bit fragile though.

I find the stock earbuds aren't too bad at all. Their sound is pretty crisp, especially if you have the equalizer set right for each song. The only thing it lacks is good, trembling base. But you can't expect that from them.

The best in ear headphones you can buy are (arguably) Shure e5. They cost like $500 USD, but Shure also makes a downgraded model called the Shure e2. Very very good phones, they will cost you a bit, but their sound is superior to anything made by Sony, JVC or some other regular brand.

If you want over ear headphones, the best deal on good cans is the Sennheiser HD497, or HD477 if you listen to a lot of rock. I have the HD477. They're lightyears better than my old Sony street style headphones. These will run you about $50 USD, and you can buy them on JANDR.net.

Head over to headfi.org for some more information on headphones. Some kids are totally obsessed with them.

I have the Apple In-Ear headphones and I'm totally not impressed. Sound to me isn't much better than the stock headphones and they won't stay in my ears. I'd say go with the Sony.

The earphones that go around your ear are the best for sport because they don't actually fall off. Philips, Panasonic and Sony are all great brands for earphones. The stock ones don't sound too bad for me, it's just that they can't handle too much, my friend's ones blew so he had to get headphones.

The Bose noise-cancelling headphones are wonderful as well if you don't mind spending the cash

Don't go with Apple ear-phones..the stock ones fell apart within a month on me cause I listen to alot of music with base (dance, techno, etc.) If your gonna buy a pair of Apple's try not to ever keep the volume on the highest even if your ion the mood to cause they never last that way..
