iPhone 11: Photos didn’t transfer from iCloud Restore

A restore from my iPhone 6 to 11 Pro did not transfer ANY photos or videos over despite ticking Photos to ‘On’ in iCloud settings. Is there a way to now to get them transferred over, specifically saving my custom photo albums as well? Thanks.

That same slow transfer works both ways, so I hope you had turned on iCloud sync on the 6 early enough to let all the pictures transfer to the cloud before you did the transfer. I had an instance a few months ago where 9000 images took three weeks to complete the sync.
