Creating a Hyperlink In a YouTube ‘About Me’ Page
    Hello Mac-Forums,com!

I use a 5th Generation iPad. I have a YouTube account and I would like to create clickable hyperlinks in the ‘About Me’ section of my Channel.

I wasted 6 hours trying to find information on how to do this. I searched on YouTube and also on Google. Nothing worked.

It seems that for people who have a Desktop, that they may simply be able to copy and paste the Link and then it will show up as Blue and Clickable in their About Me section.

I presume because I am using iOS, that the same option is not available to me.

I tried to create a manual hyprlink with the ‘href’ thingie, however YouTube disallowed any <> brackets.

Please help me with this. It is important. I will be grateful!

    Thanks,

    Will

Are you using the You Tube app, or a browser to edit your "About Me" page?

    Dear Bob,

    Thank you for your reply.

I suppose you are inferring that if I use the ‘Desktop’ edition of YouTube to edit my ‘About Me’ page, that then the hyperlinks that I have typed there will show up as clickable.

Sadly, they have not. I know that trick to click on the refresh icon in the website-typing-thingie at the top of the page and then choose ‘Desktop’, or even YouTube has a ‘Desktop’ option (which I clicked) in it’s drop down menu.

So yeah...I tried creating the hyperlink in Desktop Mode, and it wasn’t clickable. I checked my Channel as a visitor.

    This is frustrating!

No, sorry I wasn't clear enough. I was only asking if you were using the iOS You Tube app, or using a browser while logged into your YouTube account? Even an iOS browser should have the same capabilities as macOS or winOS browsers.
