    Deleting images from the iPad
One of the things I use my iPad for is to make backup copies of the images from my wife and my digital photos while we are traveling. I just use the lightning to sd card cable, import the photos and then, when we get home, use iMazing to copy them to my Mac and then delete them from the iPad using the Photos app. That works well except for one annoying thing. The photos don't actually get completely deleted. They sit around in the Recently Deleted folder taking up space, so there is less space for more photos during the next trip.

I suppose they eventually get deleted and I think I saw something somewhere about it taking 30 days, but is there some way to actually completely delete those photos without waiting for that time?

You didn't say which version of iOS you were using, but this is from last year, so it should work with current versions of iOS.

Please backup. Everything has a life cycle, unexpected and warning free. Nothing will last as long as you want it to.

Yes. I forgot to mention that. Thank you for reminding me, and thank you for the link. My iPad mini is brand new and running the latest version of iOS and the information at the link answered my question.

    Thanks for the help.
