The Note Folder on my iPhone 4s has somehow lost it's contents. I had a load of information that I regularly refer to in it and I was wondering if there is any way I retrieve it?
    Thanks.

Any recent backups made using iTunes? If you backed up either to your computer or to iCloud, you should be able to retrieve your lost notes by restoring the backup.

    Hi chscag

Thank you. I checked iTunes and iCloud and the Notes are not there. I am not conscious of doing anything to my iPhone. Is there anything else you can suggest?

Without having done a previous backup using iTunes (either to your computer or to iCloud) your notes may be gone for good. Your iPhone like a computer can lose data for one reason or another. That's why it's important to make backups. Sorry, I don't have any other ideas on how to retrieve your lost notes.

    I am a happy bunny!
After coming to terms with the fact that I would never see my messages again, I spoke to Apple staff regarding something else and happened to mention that I had lost all my notes.

After some questions, I was asked to hold down the home button and the on/off switch for 10 seconds together. When the apple icon appeared, it restarted with my notes all there!
I was advised not to do this too often, and especially not to try for the second time if first attempt failed.

I do hope this is helpful for anyone else who has the same problem.
