Where Are iPhones Notes Kept on Mac?
Folks, I have (had!) and extensive set of notes in my iPhone's Notes application. These are stored somewhere on my Mac as well, since when I got a new iPhone 3G S, they magically showed up on the iPhone when I synced it to my Mac.

Recently, they all quite suddenly disappeared. I remember iTunes telling me something about my iPhone being sync'd to another computer, and asking if I wanted to sync to this computer. I had just installed a new version of iTunes and thought it was some sort of bug. I said "yes" and a LOT of stuff disappeared off my iPhone - browser bookmarks, mail accounts, etc.

I have managed to get everything back but the missing Notes. They have to be somewhere on my Mac. Can anyone tell me where Notes are kept on the Mac? I am guessing somewhere in the iTunes hierarchy, but I can't find them. Thanks.

I have checked under my account's Library/Mail, but I do not have any file or folder named Reminders (or anything similar). I also checked Library/Preferences, but there is not a Mail folder there. Ditto for Library/Application Support. A search via Spotlight for "Reminder" didn't turn up anything useful either.

I am running OS X Leopard - is it possible it is in a different location under Leopard than under Snow Leopard?

    Thanks!

Open your mail app. Click on the reminder tap and there you are.

Thanks all, that is where they are. Unfortunately, my missing notes are not there - my latest sync to my iPhone must have replaced them.

I have one last shot - I have an older PowerMac G5 that I synced my iPhone to a few months ago, just to transfer my Contacts on to it. My G5 is running 10.4 Tiger. I checked its Mail app, but it doesn't support Reminders. Any thoughts on where Notes are kept under Tiger? Thanks!

Actually folks, I am still "stuck". It is already too late on my Leopard machine - the resyncing has deleted the notes apparently, but I did sync my iPhone to my Tiger machine some time ago, so they are likely still there.

Does anyone know where iPhone Notes are kept on a Tiger machine?

    Thanks!!

I googled your problem and it seems that your out of luck without 3rd party software such as this

Download The Missing Sync for iPhone for iPhone and iPod Touch - Transfer from Windows Mobile, BlackBerry or Palm OS to iPhone. MacUpdate iPhone Backup Software Downloads

however I believe it's too late for you

    Can't find notes
I've read a few things about finding my iPhone notes on my mac (10.8.5). But I cannot find anything labeled Reminders or Notes in my mail app. There is nothing in the left mailboxes pane labeled reminders or notes. I have reminders appearing on the top bar at the far right, but no notes there. I'm using iCloud for most things, and have Notes and Reminders turned on in my iPhone 5 and Notes turned on in my iCloud prefs on my Mac. So all of the things I've read about this don't help me. When I log into my iCloud account, and click on Notes, it's empty. HELP!

I won't say it's over, but the fat lady is warming her vocal cords.

You should have paid a LOT more attention to that warning about syncing a previously sync'd device: iTunes ERASED the phone and put whatever the default or last restore from your new home machine was on the iPhone, thoroughly destroying any old notes on it. If the old "home base" machine doesn't have those notes, then you're probably not getting them back.

If they are worth a couple grand, contact a good data recovery service and tell them the exact situation. Maybe they can get them back for you.
