    Message about Microsoft Antivirus 2013
    Hi,

In Safari I am getting this message: "http://opennessman.asia Microsoft Antivirus 2013 has found critical activity on your PC and will perform fast scan of system files! OK"

What does this mean and what should I do? I can't get past this and use Safari at all.

    Thanks.

    Wyley

If this is just a pop up window in the browser, just quit Safari. You may have to Force Quit.

Right click your Safari icon in the dock and select quit - give it 10 seconds - if it doesn't quit - right click again and you should have the option to force quit. If not, you'll need to open Activity Monitor and force quit it from there.

If it comes back when Safari is opened - means you have Safari set to reopen it's pages - you're going to have to try and close those tabs before they load.
I've had it take several times of using force quit and re-opening due to the number of tabs I had open.

And then don't visit that particular web site again.
I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth.
In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus.

Moved thread to the Internet/Networking forum also.

This has nothing to do with what OS you have installed and everything to do with the web site you're visiting having a piece of windows scamware they're hawking in order to A) get your CC # &/or B) install a nasty on your machine.
