    I have seen similar issues using manual methods to transfer images from SD cards to a Mac computer. I suggest you try using one of the native apps made for the purpose such as Image Capture. Obviously many people would use the Photos app but if you want more control over the images Image Capture is probably the best option.

    yes I confirm image capture is the best and I use this application for a long time
