Amazon announced a bevy of new Alexa and Alexa-enabled devices this week, so we've rounded up what we think the five most interesting might be, from Airpod-adjacent earbuds to a 4-in-1 smart oven.

Amazon Echo Buds Wireless Earbuds
Store: Amazon
Price: $129.99
Shipping: Free shipping "Echo Buds" is no longer what you call it when you have two Alexa devices in the same room – it's now Amazon's answer to the AirPod. (Which is not to say they can't co-exist.) These wireless earbuds feature Bose Active Noise Reduction, up to 5 hours music playback per charge, up to 20 hours playback with the charging case, three ear tip sizes, and the ability to mute the mics with the Alexa app. They also work with Alexa to stream music, play Audible audiobooks, make calls, or get directions, and they support access to Siri or Google Assistant devices.

They're scheduled for release on October 30.

Amazon Echo Studio Smart Speaker
Store: Amazon
Price: $199.99
Shipping: Free shipping If you've been impressed by your free trial of Amazon's HD music streaming, you might be thinking that your Echo speaker needs an upgrade to match. The new Studio speaker adapts to its room by automatically sensing the acoustics, and features five internal directional speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, built-in Zigbee smart home hub with Amazon Alexa, multiple layers of privacy controls including mic off button, 3.5 mm or mini-optical Toslink line in, and 802.11ac dual-band WiFi.

It's due for release on November 7. You can also bundle it with an Amazon Smart Plug for $5 extra.

Amazon Echo Show 8
Store: Amazon
Price: $129.99
Shipping: Free shipping Coming in as a kind of "Mama Bear" to the 10" Echo Show and 5.5" Echo Show 5, this smart display is more interesting than Amazon's oddly boring "Alexa can show you things" tagline would suggest. It features an 8" 1280x800p screen, stereo sound, video calling and messaging, Alexa smart home voice control, and sliding camera shutter. (If you want more privacy, you can also disconnect the microphones and camera with one press of a button.) Plus, it lets you access movie trailers, TV shows, movies, news, radio stations, podcasts, and audiobooks via Alexa commands.

It's scheduled for release on November 21. You can bundle it with a Ring doorbell for $30 extra, or an Echo Show 5 for $40 more.

Amazon 4-in-1 Smart Oven with Echo Dot
Store: Amazon
Price: $249.99
Shipping: Free shipping A Certified for Humans device, this 4-in-1 Nutrient Warming Box seemingly aims to be to microwaves what the Instant Pot is to regular ovens – except with Alexa voice control added in. It works as a convection oven, microwave, air fryer, and food warmer, and features over 30 built-in presets, Alexa voice control via compatible devices (such as the included third-generation Echo Dot), Alexa preheat and food done announcements, and scan-to-cook (via Alexa app). The oven is large enough to cook a 5-lb. chicken.

It's scheduled for release on November 14.

Amazon Echo Flex Plug-In Smart Speaker
Store: Amazon
Price: $24.99
Shipping: Free shipping with Prime If you need Alexa access in a room without much surface space (and don't want to pay for the newly-announced Alexa Loop ring or Frames glasses), this plug-in speaker might fit in a little better. (It would also be great for pranking trusting children with spooky noises at night.) It features voice control, for turning on lights, adjusting thermostats, locking doors, and more, and a USB port. It also includes multiple layers of privacy controls, such as a microphone off button.

It's scheduled to release on November 14.
