    Newsletter feedback
So, got the newsletter today, had time to read it, wanted to post a question in this forum but there is NO direct link to the forum boards in the whole blasted thing.

Clicked on send feedback and got prompted which email service, I clicked other (I use yahoo)
then had to enter a password.
For what? My EMAIL? This board? I am NOT putting my email password on some form.
So fine, I backed out, left no feedback.

    So feedback.
    1. PUT A LINK TO YOUR FORUMS ON YOUR FORUM NEWSLETTER! Don't you WANT people to join in?

    2. "Send feedback." Just use a simple form? WHY do I need to supply a password to what who knows, just to send feedback? Not knowing if I could even reply to the newsletter from my email, (no note to be found that it won't be looked at but rather than waste time I'd just find the forum myself. Got this bookmarked now.)

I didn't realize that. I read the newsletter this morning and saw the feedback link. I thought it would link up to the "Contact Us". I wonder if we can direct the feedback to there so our staff can reply?

Hello Diane. You should be receiving the Mac-Forums newsletters. Please check your spam/junk email folder...just in case it's going there.

As far as a sign up area for the Mac-Forums newsletter...coming soon.

    Thanks much for asking,

Clicking on that send feedback button just wants to send an email to support@threadloom.us (the service sending the newsletter). There is no password or anything associated with that, everything you are seeing is your unique setup, not the newsletter.

You don't have to sign up, everyone gets it automatically to your email address in your profile. Check your spam folder for it, that's where I found it on my Outlook account.

    I don't have a spam folder.
I use Apple Mail with an email address assigned by my ISP.

They use the Barracuda Spam Firewall.

Every once in a while I get a notice about quarantined emails and those are always from email addresses that are obviously spam, like a 16-digit number@some domain or emails from a server on the black list.
If the email came from xxxx@mac-forums.com I'm sure there would be no problem.

I will call the ISP tomorrow and have them check

PS: BTW, there is nothing in the Apple Mail Junk folder, but like I said, that newsletter could have been blocked at the ISP's mail server because it didn't meet the "smell test".

I just checked the ISP's Spam Firewall - there is nothing there.
Maybe the emails have not been sent out to everyone yet?

Well it must be attempting to open some email client on my computer which I do not use. The copy email had more to it than just support at. So didn't try.

It's ok, one way or another you got the message. It's all good.

Sounds to me that the newsletter distribution needs some fine tuning.
