    Another forum I frequent identifies the OP in all his/her subsequent posts. This is often quite helpful. Can M_F's software do that?

    That is a nice feature I've seen from other forums. I wonder how hard it would be to add?

    I assume you're referring to MacRumors. In that case, it would appear that the feature was custom designed. That said, it's quite possible that the mod was made into a vBulletin plugin/module/whatever VB calls them.

    That sounds like a nice feature to have; it sort of promotes thread creation. While we can't promise we'll install the feature anytime soon, if the opportunity comes about, we'll definitely mention it to our site devs.
