Where can I find info on when and how to use Handbrake?

I am having trouble with importing material to iMovie from a memory card which contains both stills and video taken on a Canon SC 10 IS camera. (I am using MAC OS X 10.6.3).

I have the program but there is no "help" section. How do I use it?

AAAHHH but it does :D Here you go:

HandBrakeGuide ? HandBrake (http://trac.handbrake.fr/wiki/HandBrakeGuide)

Quick Guide: Open Handbrake > choose your source > toggle presets (if you don't see the presets) > choose a preset (unless you want to fiddle with the settings yourself) > choose a destination for your converted files > Start.

thanks...the program's help is anything but helpful...mostly about stuff you can't do.

I used Handbrake by choosing source, chose a preset, chose a destination file and hit start. It made my video into a file w/ an extension of .mp4. However, when I went to move that file into my iMovie, it just would not go into it. By itself, the file played well enough but I could not get it into my iMovie project.

For the preset, I chose Apple TV and then did it again with a preset of Normal. Both had the same result: it would not go into iMovie.

What am I not doing right?
