Just curious, i got a sound sample and its in mp4 format in QT. Is there a way to transfer this to my iPod or convert this into say a MP3 audio?

Yeah i have it in iTunes right now - how do i go about converting these files (mpeg 4 quicktime) to audio files that my iPod can recognize?

sorry i was a bit confused. MPE4 is aac (isnt it?) should be able to go straight onto the ipod, however if u do want to convert it to mp3, in Itunes go to preferences>importing.import using, change this to mp3. Then rightclick on the mpeg4 file and select 'convert selection to mp3'

for some reason when i drag the file to my iPod it will not transfer. the file is still quicktime mpeg4 though. not sure if this is why??? but maybe after changing the prefs in iTunes and then importing them again - it might do the trick.

The iPod will play .mp3 (of course :o), .wav, and .m4a (it's AAC really), oops , I almost forget .aiff.
