I know this thread is not exactly swamped with entries, but would it not be more interesting to post a different theme up each month for the photograph contest? Winner of last months suggests theme for the next month...?

Well iWhat is the one that usually makes this thread every month. I think you should probably run it by him.

I like the idea. Makes it seem more like a legit Photography forum. I know they do these kinds of things on some photography forums.

We can do a themed photo of the month thread.

If it's popular enough -- later on, we'll make it into a contest and let the winner choose the theme for the month. But for now, we'll see how it works.

Since its October, how about Oktoberfest?
I've always wanted to be smart, handsome and modest. But, I guess I'll have to be satisfied with two out of three . . .

When Oktoberfest is over, we have Wurstfest.

I actually read about this a couple of weeks ago and am tempted to come down for it . . . though, honestly, the line "more than 100,000 visitors each year" makes me a little hesitant. I'm not much for large crowds.

It gets quite packed, no doubt about it.

A German beer drinking good time for those that like that sort of thing.

Last time I went was probably mid 70s.
