    Mickey & Minnie gone silent
Has anyone else found that after updating to watchOS 6.0 Mickey and Minnie no longer speak the time when tapped? This is the case with both my series 3 and series 4 watches. Anyone found a solution?

Not sure if anyone has responded with a solution. There is also a thread over at MacRumors with the same subject, so apparently it may be a bug with the new Watch OS. We will keep an eye out for an update or clarification from Apple and post it here.

I can confirm the same thing has happened with my Series 3 watch. I also discovered yesterday that holding two fingers on any watch face will prompt Siri to speak the time.

I can confirm it doesn't work on an S4 watch, either. Bummer, it was fun! The double-finger tap works on all but the Mickey/Minnie faces.

Once I got the two finger tap to get Siri to announce the time I then removed and reloaded the Mickey?Minnie face and pay particular attention to the bit about turning the watch off, putting it on charger and waiting 15 min. After that I tried again and now both functions work but my Settings > Sounds and Haptics dont have the bit which mentions "Venture into Settings → Sounds & Haptics, enable Speak Time and customize it:" that option simply isn't there. None the less it works.
I think there may be a few bugs in the system and we will probably see a new update soon so if none of the info I've given you seems to help it may just be a matter of waiting till Apple pick it up and fix it.

Thanks. I followed that procedure and Mickey speaks again in my Series 3 watch. It hasn't worked with my Series 4 watch despite going through that routine three times, so hopefully there will be an update to resolve the issue.

I agree, its just a bug/glitch which will no doubt register with Apple as soon as enough users make it known.
I did discover that the this passage from one of the links I posted in Post #5 "Venture into Settings → Sounds & Haptics, enable Speak Time and customize it:" Is actually to be found in Time Settings on the Apple Watch not Sounds and Haptics.

I wonder if Apple just dropped all the related Disney stuff due to their recent falling apart and disagreements??? :-D

An update. For no reason I can determine, Mickey and Minnie have ended the silent strike and now speak the time once again. So maybe just patience is what it takes?

Maybe a little update fix got slipt in there somewhere, somehow.

Mine too but now Tap To Speak on the other screens only works intermittently and the volume is so low I can hardly hear it. Ah well!

In the middle of the night my watch, which was on the charger stand on my nightstand, started binging. Not like an alarm, but just one "bing" and the face lit up. Loud enough and bright enough to wake me up. After the third bing in 10 minutes, I looked at it and there was an announcement on the watch that watchOS 6.0.1 was available for update. It helpfully offered that it could perform the update overnight, so I tapped on the button to allow that and went back to sleep. In the morning, when my iPhone alarm clock went off, it was followed by binging from both it and the watch. The watch was on a screen saying I needed to agree to the installation terms, as was the iPhone.

So this morning I went ahead and installed 6.0.1. Mickey and Minnie talk, but Siri is now silent. I guess I have to go find the settings to get that back now.

C'mon, Apple, no need to wake me in the middle of the night for a watch update unless it's going to kill me in the morning if I don't update it immediately!
