Apple Watch audible time

I’m a bit puzzled why the only Apple Watch face that speaks the time when you tap the face is the Micky (and Minnie) Mouse face.

Going back to the beginning here, I'm a bit surprised why someone would be concerned about a feature not working when they're actually using a Beta release.

Isn't that what the reporting feature is for, otherwise wait until the Grand Master OS version has been released and maybe things will actually work properly or more or less as expected. Or let's just say hopefully!!!

I might add though there was an update to Apple WatchOS last week to Version 5.3
and it did report some compatibility issues I had found between the previous iOS beta and the Apple Watch which mostly seemed fixed with beta 3 and iOS public bęta 4 was released today although I haven’t installed it yet.

My apologies Rod, I guess my old brain just gets confused when the betas are mixed up with the discussion and I was sure you had been trying the latest out with your iOS stuff.

No worries, you’re not alone in that Patrick. The process of installing a beta on the watch was extremely complex and although I was fairly confident about being able to restore iOS 12 to my phone if necessary the watch is a completely different story.

Well, here's hoping that you will be able to get them all working the way you want them to someday soon, and before you have to start contemplating any sort of jailbreaking or customisation.

Does laying in the hammock in the cool breeze on the deck and in the shade of the palm trees upset any of the actions or the way they work??? But it sure sounds like an ideal place to contemplate everything and hopefully get things working the way you want.

I am very lucky to be able to live here in BALI, it doesn’t make my devices work any better but it sure makes me work better.
Jail breaking is overrated, I tried it years ago on an earlier iPhone, it created a lot of anxiety at the time, risked bricking my device and only lasts till the next update.
Anyway the last beta (we’re up to 4 now) feels like a done deal although I know there is a developer beta 5. Only a little while now till the gold standard release. Beta 5 is probably the last, I can’t find any faults with 4 although I’m no “super” user of course.

Yep, that's how it's supposed to work. And Mickey/Minnie respond to just one finger tap.

Just curious, but is there any real reason why the Mickey/Minnie Option would be any different from any of the others and why it uses a different finger touch???

Or is that so one could have two different voices, each using a different finger touch???

Only that Mickey and Minnie have always spoken with one tap on the face, whereas the Siri announcement of time with two fingers long press is new. And M/M also respond to the two finger long press. So that's consistent across the OS, with M and M having the one tap still there.
