Sony's next-gen camera sensor could allow Apple to make thinner iPhones

Im sure it could, i have great faith in sony... they are struggling at the moment against companys like samsung, i really wish apple could ditch samsung and use sony for as many components as possible, they make far better quality products and proberly wont moan and try to sue apple at every possible opurtunity, which it stranges because of all the electronics companys samsung is the biggest copycat. I always buy sony electronics not samsung, they never let me down.

I don't care if it's thinner - I just want a bigger screen. Maybe slightly thinner.

I'm with Brian on this one. One of the reasons I've haven't purchased an iPhone is the size of the screen. Yeah, I know... all you young guys are probably snickering. Wait until you reach my age!

I would prefer if they bumped up storage, increased battery size or (as some others have said), increase the screen real estate rather than make it thinner.
It's verging on almost too thin these days.

My thoughts however do go out to the guys that wear such tight jeans that they need thinner phones so it isn't uncomfortable.

I actually don't want it to get thinner. I think the current thickness is perfect, for me at least. To me, thin phones lose presence when being held, while using the screen. I absolutely hated the new Razor smart phone at Verizon, simply because of how thin the area around the main part of the screen was. As for size, 4" is the max for my "all day use comfort." There are some android phones that are pretty much tablets. That's ridiculous! Have fun sticking that in your pocket!

Im hearing you. One reason for me not purchasing one as yet is bc i aren't comfortable reading or browsing for periods. I find with my iPod touch I'm forever pinching in and out to do what i need to do where as a bigger screen would fix that to a extent.
