Hmm...I just skimmed through that article, but it seems like it's just speculation and pulls quotes from other sites that have been inaccurate in the past about their predictions. I have no doubts that Apple already has the next iPad brewing, but I'm still trying to make full use of my iPad 1. Probably won't upgrade any time this year since I'm about to purchase a new iMac in a month or two.

Hehe, I could have written that article.

"The next generation iPad will be released in Feb, March or later..." Great reporting ;-)

Yeah it reminds me of the WeatherMan that says there's a 50% chance of rain.

Based on what I have read I am not remotely interested in upgrading. It would have to offer a whole lot more than that after me spending $849 + tax 9 months ago to even consider such a purchase. However, if I did not already own one, I am all for buying the newest version available.

I'm probably not going to get a 3 since I'm just picking up a 1 tomorrow. What has really reppelled me is the prices of these things, if I weren't trading my old PC I wouldn't be getting one. For $800 + they need offer more than a faster processor and better display.

I have a 2 and will definitely buy a 3 at launch, not so much as an upgrade, but just so I won't have to share mine with the wife and kids anymore. I would have bought a second one already but I just don't want to get a 2 with all the speculation that 3 is around the corner.

I've had the first gen iPad for almost a year now. I think it'll serve me another year or two...I mean the iPad 2 was a good upgrade for Dad...but the cameras aren't really selling it for me...

As for iPad 3...hmmm...I'm not going to place anything more than a grain of salt until the announcement/release day.

If it follows suit with iPad 1 and 2, the 3 will come out around the middle of April. But that's just going off what we've seen the last 2 yrs. Nothing is set in stone.
I have an iPad 1 and am contemplating selling it to get a 3. Though it depends on specs, features, and pricing.

We have the original iPad and no intentions of upgrading to the 3, no matter what the specs. We just don't use it THAT much. If anything, I'll keep an eye out for deals on a used or refurbed iPad 2 once the iPad 3 is out.

Please verify and include the exact model/year of your Mac and OS X version number (available from "About This Mac", then "More Info" on the Apple menu).

I have a 1 and once 3 comes out, I'll probably try to get an ebay deal on a used 2. I would like the cameras. (I use mine basically as an ereader and recipe book.)
