Identified with the label OSX/Flashback.C, the Trojan first decrypts the paths of XProtectUpdater files, then unloads the XProtectUpdater daemon. As this disguises itself as an Adobe Flash Player install, make triple sure you have downloaded the real Flash Player, if you do need it.
Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

I actually had an adobe flash player upgrade pop up mane 2 weeks ago. I thought it was a bit weird, but never knew/heard about anything up until a few days ago. It was the first one to ever do so. I didn't even have safari open when it popped up. Is there a way to check and see if you've been infected? I've been reading up on this in other online posts, and can't find anything.

So slowly but surely they're trying to infect our Macs with Trojans, Nice.
