    Second-hand MacBook Pro Advice
    Hi.

I'm looking to purchase a used/refurbished MacBook Pro. My budget is around 350.

I will mostly be using it for Photoshop and Lightroom.

I have seen this one on eBay. Any thoughts or opinions on whether this is a good deal and whether the specs are up to task in 2019?

Any other suggestions for sites with good, cheap MacBooks, please? Also, how recent should a Mac be? I understand Apple discontinue support for older machines after a certain amount of time. I discovered this on my 2008 MacBook Pro

Thanks in advance for any replies.

    Phil

The best advice I can give as far as is this a good deal...is to search ebay for the exact same model MacBook Pro and similar specs...then check the previously completed sales. There will be a whole bunch of previous sales that you can compare with.

    As far as a 2011 MacBook Pro in 2019. I have three 2011 computers I use regularly (2011 17"MBP, 2011 13" MBA, 2011 13" MBP)...and the 13" 2011 MacBook Pro (same as linked here...but with 8gig of RAM)...is the slowest.

I don't know if 350 is a good deal or not (check the previous ebay sales)...but if it was me...I would be looking for something newer.

Whenever purchasing a used MacBook, I always make sure that the seller has not installed a firmware password.
    Apple stuff: iPhone 6s, Air2 LTE, Late 2013 13" MBP, Early 2011 13" MBP, Late 2011 15" MBP, Mid-2013 13" MBA

Yep. Go newer. Anything that old wont run anything useful anymore.
