About this Mac --->More Info--->Under Power (with battery plugged in)

Mine is something low, as I leave my battery out 90% of the time (Mine is currently acting as just a desktop computer)

I had this discussion with somebody... It is only available on some models. Newer powerbooks have it, titanium PBs do not. I am less sure about other models

Mine is at 83 (had it since early to mid December).

It isn't available on my iBook either. Mine is a late 2004 1 Ghz model.

For anyone who's interested, there's also a Terminal method covered in this month's Macworld that will display a bunch of information about your battery. I tried it and it worked on my iBook. Here's a synopsis:

    Open Terminal
Enter the following: ioreg -w0 -l | grep Capacity

The output should include Cycle Count (number of times the battery has gone through charge/discharge cycle), Current (current charge level), Capacity (highest charge the battery can hold), and AbsoluteMaxCapacity (the battery's original highest-charge value).

I just got my ibook used, and it only has 21 cycles! One more thing to be happy about, haha.

My battery goes up to 4400 mAh it says. I have a 12" iBook, whats everyone elses max charge that you can hold now?

Completely blanked on the fact that I posted in the POWERBOOK forum, haha. Carry on.

Does not matter. My PB is at 4400 as well. I wonder if the ioreg accurately lists current maximum capacity.
