    RAM configuration
    Hi everyone

I just got another 8GB of RAM for my iMac, taking the total to 24GB (2x4 and 2x8).

I've installed the 4GB sticks in slots 1 and 3, with the 8GB ones in 2 and 4.

My question is whether this is the most ideal configuration?

    thanks, Nick

Unlike some various computer models in the past...I don't think there's any special ram configuration for 2017 27" iMac's that improves performance (at least I can't find anything on it).

thanks Nick, neither could I that's why I asked you all on here :-)

As an aside, going from 16 to 24 has made a noticeable difference with Lightroom and Photoshop.

Congrats...that sounds awesome. Sometimes RAM upgrades are not so easily noticed.
