Mac Mini USB Thumb drive problem/question
Hey guys, Mid 2010 Mac Mini running Mavericks. I have a couple of 8 gb usb thumb drives that have nothing on them, yet "get info" shows them almost full and when I try to load a picture or something on them it says not enough memory left, but yet there is nothing on them. Are the usb drives corrupt, or is there a way to reformat them so that they are truly empty? One thumb drive is an 8 gb Lexar and the other is an 8 gb PNY. They are showing full but they don't have anything on them. Please help. Thanks.

If there is nothing on these thumb drives you need to save…then yes…open up Disk Utility…and reformat them.
