Angry alive but still limping on
Hi there, I seem to be having further problems with my imac core 2. Just about a couple weeks ago, I opened a thread with regards to it not starting (power supply was the verdict). Anyway thats been fixed (Thx for the help Garret), but when I booted up my imac it said there was no file system. So I popped in the leopard disk that I purchased and opened up disk utility, said the hard drive was the but the data is corrupted, fixed that with a fresh leopard install. Then another problem popped out of the blue, now it hangs on a blue screen on startup for about 5 min then works, doesn't want to wake up after I put it to sleep, and when I turn it off it doesn't turn on (have to physically disconnect and reconnect the power cable).

Try running the Apple Hardware Test. Sounds like you might have a bad hard drive.
Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

Sure. But so could many other things. It's a shot in the dark without a diagnostic of some kind. If you absolutely can't find the discs, I would recommend contact Apple for a replacement set. As I understand it, one can be had for about $40.

You hooked back up the heat sensor from the hard drive to the Logic Board?

    Who did the replacement?

Did you see any popped capacitors on the LogicBoard?
