I was wondering if it was allowed to post personal websites/communities that i've developed into my signature.

Just simple text links, not big fonts, no graphics, just short and simple. I read the forum rules but not really understanding it concerning personal websites in the signature lol.

However i've seen other people with websites in their sig, but i just want to verify so i dont break the rules.

thank you in advance.

Hey there :)

As far as im aware, you can put links to websites in your sig, as long as the websites are not for profit etc :)

yep you can put your PERSONAL website in the sig. Not a business site or a money making site.

If you are unsure check out the Forum rules as 'schweb' said.

Actually, I don't think that is specified.

It's a gray area. Generally if the intent of your signature is to "market" or "advertise" then yes, that wouldn't be allowed under our advertising rules.

It really comes down to intent.

I had a signature that linked to my business site (I'm a freelance web developer). But it was humble... not like a "click here for a free ipod" scam. I think as long as you're tactful/tasteful it would be ok. But I'm not a mod so take that with a grain of salt =)
