So, it could be a user account setting somewhere in your user account, and the reason I suggested a NEW user account on your Mac for testing purposes. It can then be deleted when the problem is/isn't confirmed.

Me too, I only use Safari. And, I have had issues, but I believe they were all user instigated issues.
I have somewhere between 50 and 70 user accounts on Safari where I have no issue staying logged in.
Please, please tell me what it is that I could have done that prevents me from doing the same in this case.
As pm-r has suggested, trying a new user account would simply say that it is OK with that account. I would be no nearer to solving the problem.
I recall the days when it was standard to tell folks to "fix permissions". Occasionally, it actually made a difference haha!
All in good humour guys. I'm not digging anybody, but having been a Mac user since 1985, some things just "are" and one either fixes them quickly, or if they are not that important, just moves on.
This MAY be user instigated, don't know, don't care, but it falls into the "not that important" category. So unless someone says "do this, it should fix it", I'll just move on.
